Appointment of New Director

Crown Point Ventures Ltd. (the “Company”) (TSX.V: CWV) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Martin J. Walter, of Toronto, Ontario as a director. Mr. Walter brings more than 15 years of exploration and operational resource development and financing experience to the Company. From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Walter worked as a geologist for Western Mining Corporation in western Australia’s prolific nickel and gold camps of Kambalda and Kalgoorlie. In recent years, Mr. Walter has worked on a number of precious metal projects worldwide as a consulting geologist for the Toronto-based geological consulting firm of Ironbark International Limited. He is an active member of a number of other public company boards, including TSXlisted Aquiline Resources Inc., where as a director and Vice-President of Exploration, he has been instrumental in the growth of that company to where it has a current market capitalization in excess of $400 million. Mr. Walter is also the President and CEO of Sierra Minerals Inc., a TSX-listed gold producer in Mexico. He has a degree in geology from Ballarat University in Australia, as well as an MBA from the University of Toronto. He brings to the Company wellfounded experience in the resource sector, specifically within Latin America and Argentina, where the Company is currently focusing on new development opportunities, as disclosed in its November 1, 2006 News Release.

In conjunction with his appointment as a director, Mr. Walter has been granted an incentive stock option under the Company’s incentive stock option plan, entitling him to purchase up to 100,000 shares at a price of $0.70 per share.
